Children: The Hope of the Future

One of the highest priorities of the Family International is to ensure that our members’ children receive a high standard of care, protection, education, socialization, and recreation. Our profound respect for children—and attention to their proper care and upbringing—is an integral part of our lives.

We believe that children are a priceless treasure, and as such, it is our conviction that the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of children should be amply and competently met. We consider the care of the little ones God has entrusted in our care to be a very important responsibility and a fundamental component of our daily lives, for which reason all members are encouraged to do their utmost to ensure that their children are reared in as healthy, loving, safe, and godly an environment as is possible.

The Family has produced an array of publications, audio and video productions, teaching aids and devotional materials to assist in character building and the development of children of all ages. (Please see www.auroraproduction.com for a full catalogue of available resources.)

Home-Schooling

Home-schooling has been the Family’s preferred method of education for the past 30 years. Members strive to provide their children with positive home-study learning environments that encourage each child to discover his or her unique gifts, talents and abilities. Character building, decision making, problem solving, and communicating are also a significant part of their education.

We translate these into practical terms by providing our children with a multifaceted education, which includes a full range of academic subjects, Christian and ministerial instruction, practical vocational training, and preparation in physical and social skills. The children’s scholastic curriculum combines a variety of teaching aids, including registered home-schooling curriculums, videos and computer programs. Our Christian ministry and lifestyle help provide an ideal home-based learning environment in which to accomplish these educational objectives.

The Family has also specialized in early childhood education, producing a number of in-house publications, books, Christian storybooks, educational videos, and teaching aids.
